Scribd Approved as Federal Social Application, Launches Government Category

September 15, 2009 • in the news

Today the White House announced the launch of Apps.Gov and included Scribd in the official government applications store — making it easy for federal agencies to publish documents online, communicate directly with constituents and build a community of socially-minded people.

To celebrate, Scribd is launching a “Government” category that highlights the federal, regional and local government agencies and organizations that are sharing information on Scribd. Subscribe to these organizations’ profiles and receive real-time notifications when bills are published, budgets are finalized, and more.
