
We are excited to welcome Elizabeth (Betsey) Nelson to the Scribd Board. Betsey will be joining as an Independent Board member and will also chair the Audit Committee of our Board, where she will be overseeing the accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure Scribd builds a robust control environment to support our growth.
Betsey brings over 20 years of experience in technology markets, focusing on scalability and operations.
As CFO, she led Macromedia through a decade of profitable growth as a public company to over $500 million in sales and $4 billion in market cap. More recently, she has served on the boards of Zendesk, Pandora Media, Smule, and Ancestry.com, helping each of these subscription companies monetize their content and expand their business globally.
In addition to her board work, Betsey advises several emerging growth companies and venture capital funds and is an advisor to Mercy Corps’ Social Ventures Fund.
