Some of our regular publishers have noticed that the titles to a few recently published documents have changed without notice. No accounts have been compromised. Our recent efforts to make Scribd a compelling place for our readers to hang out while on the web has occasionally included modifying titles of publications that make the "Most Popular" list on home page, usually to address capitalization and spelling. However, on some occasions the title's wording is updated for clarity. In such cases, a search is made for a valid document title within the text of the document before modifying the document's properties.
Scribd users may revert documents back to their original title at any time.
To avoid this issue, make sure that documents you've uploaded to Scribd are clearly and correctly titled in whatever language by which the document is made available. Please avoid using ALL CAPS in your file titles.
Examples of acceptable document titles:
- "The Rapture of Johnny Cash"
- L'argent de Poche
- The Gift of the Magi, by O. Henry
- Wedding registry list (September)
- Embers (poem)
- Margaret Bourke-White Retrospective
Examples of problematic or confusing document titles:
- I AM A ROCK AND I AM AN ISLAND IN THE STREAM
- dal39ds33 --- Shuresh
- J ----------------------------------------------- LNO
