Vice President Pence Slams Reports on 2020 Presidential Run

On Sunday, the New York Times ran an article saying that that Vice President Mike Pence is laying groundwork for a presidential bid in 2020 if Trump doesn’t seek re-election. 

In an unprecedented move, the vice president refuted the claims in an official statement, calling them “categorically false” and saying the story “is disgraceful and offensive to me, my family, and our entire team.”

The Times story also said that several Republicans are looking toward 2020, running what the paper calls “shadow campaigns,”
