Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve expanded our magazine content offering to include more than 1,000 premium magazine titles from around the world — making Scribd one of the first subscription services to have a global magazine offering this extensive.

Scribd’s enhanced magazine catalog has something for everyone. We’ve added hundreds of publications like Harper’s Magazine, AFAR, OUT, The Knot Weddings Magazine, Food & Travel, and Wine Enthusiast, to a roster of existing popular titles including TIME, The Atlantic, Bloomberg, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Newsweek, People, Men’s HealthWomen’s Health, and more. There are now 1,000 premium magazine titles on the platform, with content from over 25 countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Subscribers get full access to all magazine articles and the most recent magazine issues.

Over the last year, Scribd has seen a significant increase in reading activity, with people spending 50% more time reading ebooks, audiobooks, and articles on our platform. We’ve also seen that our readers are enjoying informational and educational content related to important news topics. We strive to better support our subscribers’ curiosity and desire to learn with our new expanded magazine offering. Now, Scribd users can stay informed on the latest news cycle and their favorite lifestyle content, included within our monthly subscription price of $9.99.

“Scribd introduced the first 30 magazine publications onto the platform in 2017 to appeal to a wide audience of readers while driving incremental revenue back to publishers,” said Trip Adler, co-founder and CEO of Scribd. “Over the last two years, we have seen the number of hours spent reading magazine articles increase by more than 50%. Now that we’re adding hundreds of new titles and expanding our catalog to appeal to a more global audience, we anticipate seeing reading activity grow even more.”

In addition to investing in new magazine content for our catalog, we have made several product improvements to make it easier to discover new magazines and magazine articles based on the subscriber’s reading history and expressed interests. We’re so excited for our readers to enjoy these enhancements and we look forward to continuing to expand our catalog as we play a bigger part of our subscribers’ everyday lives.
